If you press F5 on the Cliprex display or select 'Capture Photos' from the video menu you have the possibility to create images from running videos.
What is overlay?
Newer videocards use DirectDraw Accelleration in order to get smoother video playback. DirectDraw Accelleration causes those black images due to its nature of projecting the video directly from the videocard memory on the video display. That results in 'floating videos' which are impossible to capture. Cliprex has a built in "Overlay detection system" which disables overlay on the moment of capturing images.
How to capture images?
Press 'Snapshot' to capture the current video to an image. The image will be displayed in a preview window every time you press the button. If 'save instantly after snapshot' is selected then every time you press snapshot a bitmap file will be written to your Cliprex installation directory\images folder. With the button next to the snapshot button you can directly open that folder.
